With the wedding season in full swing let's talk about Andy and Sue's wedding. They both have been together for a long time and decided to have a family first before marriage. As the children were getting older, talk of getting married was now on the agenda. They attended some local wedding fayres and fell in love with Egypt Mill in Nailsworth. As they decided to book their wedding with the venue the date of the 25th of May came up which meant organising a wedding in a very short period of time. They thought why not, why wait!
As the date of their wedding came closer their family and friends were getting extremely excited not only because Andy and Sue were going to tie the knot but also for the after party!
And what party isn't complete with out cake!
So Andy and Sue both came to me for a consultation, where we discuss their cake design and tasted some fabulous cake.
They both settled on a semi naked cake with fresh fruit, the base was a chocolate mud cake, with salted caramel and vanilla bean buttercream with a raw edge ganache finish to the bottom tier, which is very trendy at the moment. The other two tiers where a vanilla layers cake, with vanilla buttercream and strawberry conserve. Their wedding cake was then finished with a thin layer of buttercream so the sponge was peaking through.
And this is what they both had to say about their wedding cake
" Vicky made our wedding cake and it was amazing. Beautifully moist and tasted wonderful. Stunning to look at too. Our guests were very complimentary. Would highly recommend Vicky. The whole process from the initial consultation to cake tasting to the final product was extremely easy and Vicky was very friendly and professional. Thank you! "
